Disciplines

The immediate sports that Quest2glory will consider are any that is played by women with special focus on Tennis, cricket and football.

For a starter, Quest2glory will focus its attention on Tennis, especially women’s tennis in order to give young ladies a safe alternative to the other women’s sports being offered.

The sport of tennis has given people of colour a template to compete at the highest level. With the inspiration of the Williams sisters and the Coco Gauf factors being common knowledge, there must be a belief that if we put the right systems in place, Barbados can produce talented players ready for international competitions.

Our first goal is to equip each secondary school with a functioning Tennis court, as well as to encourage school and community competitions. Then we will select the best players and expose them to overseas tennis clinics where they can improve their techniques on their way to achieving university scholarships etc.

CRICKET

We intend to contribute to the development of women’s cricket by funding programs and sponsoring teams to foreign countries to gain experience before they earn national selection.

FOOTBALL

Our emphasis will be on funding footballers to attend Trials at professional clubs. In order for our national team to get better it must comprise the best players with professional experience. To gain this experience, players must play for professional clubs. To get there for trials, these players need funding. Quest2glory intends to help in this process.

NETBALL

Our emphasis will be on funding Netballers who want to play in professional leagues such as England and Australia. By exposing more girls to play professionally, they must first attend trials at overseas clubs. Funding will therefore be provided for select persons.

MEDICAL

Any person entering this program will be looked after medically. They must undergo constant medical evaluations as well as physiotherapeutic checks to ensure nutrition and physical activities are adequate.
